Get Behind the Wheel: Touch A Truck Event at Central Chevrolet!

West Springfield, March 26, 2026 – Central Chevrolet is partnering with West Springfield Park & Recreation in West Springfield with the Chevrolet Youth Baseball & Softball program to provide new equipment, and a monetary donation. “Playing baseball and softball helps kids develop skills like leadership, cooperation, and sportsmanship while brin ging families and communities together to show their support. Central Chevrolet and Chevrolet Youth Baseball & Softball are proud to participate in a sport that brings so many smiles to kids and families in West Springfield,” said Todd Volk, General Manager for Central Chevrolet. “Chevrolet believes in the power of play as a way for young people to build the skills needed to be successful in the future and supports the spirit of teamwork that baseball and softball instills in its players.” Over Two Decades of Impact 2026 marks the twenty-first year of Chevrolet’s Youth Baseball & Softball program and has benefited over 10 million players since it launched in 2006. Last year, nearly 1,100 Chevrolet dealers participated across the country. The response from our customers was heartwarming. Not only did many of you get your winter oil changes, battery checks, and tire rotations done for a great price, but you also filled our donation bins to the brim. It was amazing to see customers walking into the service lane carrying action figures, dolls, and games alongside their car keys. Delivering the Joy hanks to your generosity, we were able to deliver a truckload of toys to the Boys & Girls Club of West Springfield. The holidays are all about community, and we are proud to support an organization that provides a safe, positive place for the youth of West Springfield. WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA – November 22 nd, 2025 – Central Chevrolet, in partnership with the Corvette Club of Western Mass, is thrilled to announce its first ever "Caravan of Toys" drive, a new community event aimed at collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Boys & Girls Club of West Springfield. The event is open to all who wish to participate and help give back this holiday season. 🗓️ Event Details Date: Saturday November 22 nd 2025 Time: 11:00 AM – Approximately 12:30 PM End Location (Toy Drop-Off & Celebration): Central Chevrolet, 675 Memorial Ave, West Springfield, MA 🚗 Run of Show At 11:00 AM, a festive "Caravan of Toys" will commence, led by none other than The Grinch over to Central Chevrolet. Upon arrival at Central Chevrolet: Three Silverado pickup trucks, staffed by three dedicated "Elves," will be ready to collect the new, unwrapped toy donations. After dropping off their toys, participants will park their vehicles and are invited to enjoy complimentary coffee and donuts. A fun vehicle show component will take place with three trophies being awarded: "Best in Show," "Most Unique," and a "People’s Choice Trophy," which will be voted on by all participants. The event is expected to conclude around 12:30 PM after the trophy presentations and a thank you to all participants and partners, including the ESE. 🤝 All Are Welcome This drive is a community effort. You do not need a show car to participate; you just need to bring a toy! Enthusiasts are strongly encouraged to bring their classic, collector, or show cars for the caravan and show portion, though any vehicle is welcome. The event is supported by the Car Club of New England, and other local car clubs are expected to attend as well. The collected toys will remain in the Central Chevrolet showroom where toys will be continually collected until they are delivered to the Boys & Girls Club of West Springfield on Monday December 8 th, 2025. "This is our FIRST year doing this event and we are very excited to do our part to give back to the community we serve," said Ed O’Grady, one of the organizers from Central Chevrolet.
