2020 Equinox

The Chevy Equinox is offered in L, LS, LT, and Premier trim levels. It features a distinctive grille, sculpted aerodynamic profile, and stylish rear end that are sure to get you noticed. The L trim offers automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated power mirrors, and body-color door handles. The LT trim adds high-intensity discharge headlights, bright trim, body-color mirrors, and rear privacy glass. The top-of-the-range Premier features LED headlights, fog lamps, 18-inch wheels, chrome-accented door handles, chrome auto-dimming mirrors with turn signals, chrome roof rails, LED taillights, and a hands-free power liftgate.

Power for the Equinox is provided by a lively and responsive 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels or the available all-wheel drive (AWD) system. It's paired with a smooth-shifting electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and driver shift control.

The perky engine gives you fun-to-drive performance along with a smooth, comfortable ride. Fuel saving stop/start technology helps you to achieve up to 26 mpg around the city, while highway driving will reward you with up to 31 mpg. The available switchable AWD system enables you to drive in the more economical front-wheel-drive mode, but if the conditions get slippery, the system prompts you to switch into AWD mode for enhanced traction and control. For cold winter climates, a new cold-air grille shutter is available which limits the accumulation of ice and moisture to keep the engine running at peak performance.

Inside the Equinox, you'll find a roomy cabin with comfortable seating for five, along with 29.9 cubic feet of room for your luggage. The 60/40 split rear seats fold flat to give you 63.9 cubic feet of cargo space. A hidden underfloor storage compartment provides a safe place for small and valuable items. The well-equipped L trim features keyless entry and Ignition, premium cloth upholstery, air conditioning, cruise control, a tilt and telescoping steering column, and front and rear 12-volt power outlets. The infotainment system has a 7-inch touch screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, voice command, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, USB charging and data ports, and six-speaker audio. LT models add a power driver's seat, rear seat release levers, and satellite radio. Stepping up to the luxurious Premier trim gets you remote start, perforated leather upholstery, heated front seats, memory driver's seat and mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a 120-volt power outlet, wireless charging, an 8-inch HD touch screen, and an SD card reader.

Helping to keep your family safe is the standard Chevy Safety Assist, which includes a following distance indicator, forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and automatic high beam assist. Also standard are a rearview camera, rear-seat reminder, a tire pressure monitoring system, and teen driver functions. The Premier trim adds lane change alert with side blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
